After planting them, it was less than a week before they were all popping out of the ground in beautiful and bountiful form. Usually, hostas from other companies only come up a few leaves for the first couple of years. These truly are quite attractive for all their tender youth. I planted it with Little Grapette and Stella de Oro - a beautiful combination with a very long bloom season. Gordon Biggs bloomed as long as Stella last year. Gordon Biggs does well here in full sun or part shade. It holds its color well even on the sunniest days (which are rare here in NE Ohio), although I think the color is deeper and richer in partial shade.. It makes a good sized clump the first year, and I divided it at the end of the second season.
