All online orders will ship at the appropriate time for your hardiness zone. Not sure how to care for your new Dahlias? Check out our Dahlia planting and growing instructions. Dahlias are hardy in USDA Zones 8 through 11, where they can be cut back and left in the ground to overwinter. In Zone 7b, dahlias sometimes overwinter in the ground depending on soil drainage and severity of the winter. For customers living in zones 2 through 7, there are two way to enjoy the beautifully unique blooms and foliage of dahlias; you can treat them as an annual and enjoy their beauty for a single season, or you can dig up the tubers in the fall and replant them every spring. For instructions on how to overwinter, please read our Dahlia care guide. |
